Ashes to Ashes
Dec. 22nd, 2007 01:57 amHad our kitchen washroom's floor destroyed. By contractors. Well, the top layer of cement anyway. Apparently the block on the 20th floor had complained of leakage from their washrooms, and apparently it was due to ours.
The irony?
The contractors who came could not give a conclusive idea on what exactly caused the leak, so they are going for a shotgun approach - fix everything in sight. Tiles are old? Replace. Toilet is old? Replace. Pipes are old? Replace. The removal and re-cementing is simply the first, and hopefully the most messy phase. Tidying up the place after that was horrible.
And there are two more days before the washroom is done.
And then there is the washroom in my mother's bedroom to take care of as well.
Joy.
