So, Obama is the winner.

Blue is the color of choice this year, perhaps? First KMT, now the Democrats. If one accepts the fact that people are not petty enough to want to watch the US crumble (global economy is global, after all), then the reactions around the world is an indication enough of whom they feel is the better candidate.

And, if one feels that both candidates are not quite good enough, then they should at least vote for the one less worse. All the reactions are quite curious, but I think people should give him the benefit of the doubt.

After all, if one keep thinking that he will messed up, will one even bother to try and help him as the government attempt to put the country back on track? Realism has a role to play, even cynicism, but at times, you need hope, and a little faith. That yes, change is coming, and yes, it can be good. It may not be immediate, but it can be done.

President Obama admitted, in his acceptance speech, that it will take more than a year, maybe more than a term, to help get everything back together. That seems like an honest assessment to me, so ... we'll see what happens. At least we've got the right person for the job, now.
