In descending order of tonnage:
Super-Capital ship
Super Destroyer
Assault Carrier
Capital ships
Battleship
Battlecruiser / Carrier
Light Carrier
Heavy Cruiser
Cruiser
Destroyer
Typically without hyperspace capabilities
Frigate
Heavy Corvette
Corvette
Notes:
The super destroyer is approximately of the same tonnage as the TFN superdreadnoughts. The RLN has one in active duty, and one destroyed.
Active duty: RLS November, November-class. Destroyed: RLS October, October-class.
The core components of the RLN are its Carrier Groups. Each of them is formed around an assault carrier and multiple carriers.
Notable examples: RLS Alloxe-Corton, flagship of 2nd Carrier Group, Versailles-class. RLS Miramount-de-Guyenne, flagship of 31st Carrier Group, Versailles-class. RLS Respite, flagship of 5th Carrier Group, Undaunted-class.
Unlike the TFN, the RLN uses battleships in rather large numbers to complement its fleets. It is better armed and protected than a battlecruiser, but unable to stand up to a true super capital vessel. They usually lead capital ship squadrons in the RLN.
Notable examples: RLS New Texas and RLS Liberty Plateau, both Centennial-class. RLS Jelgava and RLS Valmiera, both Augszeme-class.
