So, I caught an episode of this local medical drama. Or the replay of it, anyway. I could semi-grasp the part where I was watching. So, basically the gist was that this two male doctors were looking for the love of their lives, since said love was a compassionate and saintly doctor who went overseas to help the needy.
So, both of them went to that country to follow her trail. Of course, they followed the clues and went to this area recently hit with an earthquake. So yeah, one of the doctors found her in a building, leading people out. I am not even going to touch on the presence of an apparent apartment block in the middle of nowhere, and somehow everyone there appears to be dirt poor.
So yeah, he found her, he was happy, and the ground started shaking. Joy. Residue quake or worse. He ran in, called out her name, and what do they do? Hug and looked at each other lovingly. In the middle of a shaking flat. Finally THE moment was over and then they decided to exit the building, which by then finally collapsed (at least part of it), thus blocking their exit and not showing their fate.
End of episode.
So, would someone tell me how such characters became doctors? Common sense? Logic? Yes, you found your love, good. But for whatever you call holy, get the heck out of a shaking building before doing the whole lovely reunion thingy.
And no, I was not touched at all, screenwriter, I was appalled by the idiocy displayed.
