omg tell me what's happened since pein attacked konoha (yes i am that far behind).

i stopped reading after kakashi "died" and haven't picked it up again even though apparently he's back.

Eh.. Naruto fights Pein. Naruto talks to Pein. And somehow convinces him that Pein is being a bad, bad boy despite basically repeating the same thing before and failed previously. Pein revives those he killed in the village and thus soon after. Konan goes away.

Hanzou becomes the new Hokage. Kage summit at the village of the samurai. Samurais got pwned by Sasuke. Then he almost got pwned by the kage until Madara steps in. So apparently the 9 tailed beasts were all from the original '10-tail'. Which apparently no one has heard of even though one of the Uchiha was worshipped for stopping it.

He wants the 10-tail so that he can place everyone in the world under a genjutsu to make one big happy family.

I am told that the manga becomes increasingly ridiculous as time goes by, but my oldest stepdaughter is a big Naruto fan, so I get the feeling we will be seeing it through to the end, regardless.
